I'm Adil Mir. I design and build SaaS platforms and marketplaces.
Vertex Stack is my studio. I lead every engagement myself, from the first call to production and after.
The work
The case studies on this site are a fair picture of what I do: a rental marketplace for Algeria with local payment rails and three languages; multi-tenant practice software for veterinary clinics across the Middle East; a local-services marketplace that routes each request to the right providers and charges them in credits; and a personal-finance platform with bank sync, receipt scanning and subscriptions.
I designed, built and deployed each of them. That is the model: one person, end to end, on a small number of projects a year.
Why I work alone
Agencies are built to scale people, which means handoffs: from sales to project managers, from project managers to developers, and from developers to whoever maintains the product after launch. Every handoff loses context, and context is most of what makes software decisions good.
Working with me, there are no handoffs. When a decision will be expensive to change later, I know, because I'll be the one changing it.
The trade-off is capacity. I take on two build engagements a year, and I'll tell you if a project needs more people than I can give it.
Principles
How I work
- One person, end to end
- The person who scopes the project designs the data model, writes the code, deploys it and supports it afterwards.
- Fixed scope, fixed price
- Scope is agreed in the Discovery Sprint, the build is quoted at a fixed price, and payments follow milestones.
- Working software every week
- A staging release every week, so progress is something you can click through rather than read about.
- Decisions written down
- Architecture choices and trade-offs are documented as the project goes, so whoever works on it next isn't guessing.
- You own everything
- The code, the infrastructure, the accounts and the intellectual property are yours.
- Honest about fit
- If a project isn't a fit, or shouldn't be built yet, I'll say so early and point you somewhere better.
