Two build engagements per year

SaaS development

Multi-tenant SaaS development for funded startups

I design and build SaaS platforms for funded founders, from the data model to the billing system to the admin tools your team will use every day.

Who it's for

  • Funded founders, seed to Series A, turning a validated idea into a production product.
  • Teams replacing a prototype that can't support paying customers, permissions or billing.
  • Operators turning spreadsheets and manual workflows into software their team can run.
  • B2B products that need organizations, roles, invoices and an audit trail from the first release.

Most SaaS products don't stall on features. They stall on decisions made in the first month: how tenants are separated, how permissions work, how billing maps to accounts, what an ID looks like. Those decisions are cheap to get right on day one and expensive to change once you have paying customers.

I build SaaS platforms with those decisions made deliberately and written down. You work directly with me from the first scoping call to production, and the person who designs the architecture is the person who writes the code.

Scope

What's included in a SaaS build

Multi-tenant data model
A tenant key on every row and every unique index, isolation enforced in the data layer instead of remembered in each query, and a path from shared tables to dedicated databases if a large customer needs it.
Authentication, roles and permissions
Organizations, invitations, roles and permissions per tenant. Two-factor authentication and single sign-on where your buyers expect them.
Stripe subscriptions
Plans, trials, seats or usage-based pricing, proration, failed-payment recovery and invoices, driven by verified webhooks so billing state never drifts from Stripe.
Onboarding
Signup, workspace setup and first-run flows designed to get a new account to its first useful result quickly, with the events you need to see where people drop off.
Admin and support tooling
An internal console to find any account, see its plan, usage and activity, and fix problems without anyone touching the production database by hand.
Notifications, search and integrations
Email and in-app notifications, search over tenant data, outbound webhooks and an API when customers need to connect their own systems.
Production infrastructure
Staging and production environments, automated deploys, monitoring, error tracking, backups and logs, set up in accounts you own.

Internal tools and web apps

Not every platform is sold to customers. I also build internal portals, dashboards and operations tools for teams that have outgrown spreadsheets and shared inboxes. They get the same foundations as a SaaS product: typed end to end, permissioned, tested and deployed properly.

Most often an internal tool sits alongside a SaaS or marketplace build, such as the admin console your operations team works in all day. It can also be an engagement of its own, with the same minimum.

Process

How it works

  1. Discover

The Discovery Sprint turns the idea into a scoped brief: who the tenants and users are, what each role can do, how you'll charge, and which integrations matter. It ends with an architecture and a fixed-price proposal.

  2. Design

Key flows and the data model are designed before code, so tenancy, permissions and billing are settled decisions rather than refactors waiting to happen.

  3. Build

Milestones with a staging release every week. You can log in, invite a teammate and see billing work long before launch.

  4. Ship

Production setup, monitoring and a launch plan, with the code, infrastructure and Stripe account in your name.

  5. Care

After launch, the Care Plan covers monitoring, updates, fixes and ongoing development hours.

Case study

An example I built

VetRealm

Vertical SaaS

Vertical SaaS for veterinary clinics, built for MENA reality.

Problem
Independent veterinary clinics in the MENA region ran on paper charts, spreadsheets, WhatsApp bookings and separate point-of-sale tools. International practice software ignored regional payment rails like PayTabs and local-currency pricing.
Outcome
A multi-tenant clinic platform covering appointments, pet medical records with dental charts, inventory, prescriptions, invoicing and live team coordination, with PayTabs recurring subscriptions across seven MENA regions.

Pricing

From $50,000

SaaS builds start at $50,000. The price is fixed before the build begins, based on the scope agreed in the Discovery Sprint, and paid in milestones as the work is delivered.

I take on two build engagements a year so each one gets my full attention.

Not ready for a full build? Start with a Discovery Sprint: a fixed-fee engagement whose fee is credited toward the build.

Questions

Which stack do you use for SaaS?

Usually TypeScript end to end: React and Next.js on the front end, Node.js on the back end, PostgreSQL or MongoDB depending on the data, and Stripe for billing. I recommend what fits your product and your future team, not a house template.

How do you handle multi-tenancy?

By default, a shared database with a tenant key on every row and isolation enforced in the data layer. If a customer later needs dedicated infrastructure, the design allows moving them without rewriting the application.

Can you take over an existing SaaS codebase?

Sometimes. I start with a paid review and tell you plainly whether extending it, or replacing parts of it, is the better investment.

Do you build the mobile app too?

When the platform needs one, I build it in React Native as part of the engagement, sharing the API and types with the web app.

What does a SaaS build cost?

Engagements start at $50,000. The fixed price comes out of the Discovery Sprint, once the scope is clear.
